Gaza Strip and West Bank

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank continues to escalate amid sustained violence and worsening conditions. In Gaza, the United Nations Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded at least 57 Palestinians killed between 13 and 20 July, including six children and eight women. The UN emphasized that the entire Gaza Strip remains under Israeli occupation, with nowhere safe for civilians, and noted that the Israeli military frequently fires on Palestinians near the so-called "yellow line" demarcating Israeli military control UN News (UN agency). Concurrently, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that 12 Palestinians were killed and 12 injured in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours Anadolu Agency (Turk).

In the occupied West Bank, the UN relief agency OCHA reported a sharp rise in violence linked to Israeli settler attacks, which now account for 55% of all Palestinian injuries in 2026. Incidents linked to settler attacks are averaging more than three injuries per day UN News (UN agency). In a recent incident southwest of Nablus, four Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers were killed during confrontations; Palestinian sources reported that armed Israeli settlers attacked the town of Tal, while the Israeli military claimed a Palestinian seized a weapon and fired at settlers. Following the violence, Israeli forces imposed a security cordon and curfew in the area Al Jazeera (Qatari/intl).

Russia–Ukraine Conflict

The conflict in Ukraine continues to exact a heavy civilian toll amid contested narratives. In Leningrad Region, Russian state media reported that three people were injured and a fire was sparked when Ukrainian drones struck a Wildberries logistics-centre warehouse in Novosaratovka. The regional governor stated that 59 Ukrainian drones were downed overnight. The Kremlin has characterized these attacks as deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure by the Ukrainian military RT (Russian state).

Sudan

The intensifying conflict in Sudan is causing severe humanitarian impacts, particularly on women and children. The UN reported that 1,681 children in Sudan were affected by grave violations in 2025, while UNICEF recorded at least 330 children killed or injured in the first six months of 2026, primarily in Darfur and Kordofan. The UN warned that escalating violence in and around Al Obeid and North Kordofan could harm more than 500,000 civilians UN Children and Armed Conflict (UN agency). Furthermore, UN Women described a pattern of daytime drone attacks and nighttime sexual violence in El Obeid, leaving women and girls without safe access to water. The agency estimated that 12.7 million women and girls in Sudan required gender-based-violence services in 2026, representing a fourfold increase since the conflict began UN Geneva / UN Women (UN agency). A recent situation analysis noted that while ACLED had recorded nearly 30,000 reported deaths by late 2024, independent investigations and international media estimates suggest the true death toll may exceed 150,000 ReliefWeb / Data Friendly Space (UN/humanitarian).

Myanmar

In Myanmar, the humanitarian crisis is worsening as civil-society organizations report daily atrocities against civilians. The Emergency Management Committee – Mandalay reported more than 1,000 airstrikes in Pyin Oo Lwin District alone since 2024, resulting in over 70 mass-casualty incidents that sources attribute to attacks on schools, hospitals, and markets rather than active armed clashes Myanmar Peace Monitor (Myanmar civil society); Mizzima (Myanmar opposition). Analysts note that the military junta is intentionally weaponizing aid by blocking deliveries, confiscating supplies, and restricting civil society organizations. Consequently, nearly 3.8 million people are displaced nationwide, with many in central Myanmar relying entirely on self-reliance to survive the crisis Myanmar Peace Monitor (Myanmar civil society); Mizzima (Myanmar opposition).
