The Gaza Health Ministry, as reported by WAFA on 22 July, put the cumulative Palestinian toll since 7 October 2023 at 73,305 killed and 173,918 injured; the report cautioned that victims remained under rubble and in inaccessible areas. OCHA separately reported 1,180 killed and 3,810 injured since the 10 October 2025 ceasefire announcement, using its stated reporting cut-off. Humanitarian indicators remain severe. A 24 July UN Geneva briefing said that 1.4 million people in Gaza were acutely food insecure, while the World Food Programme was supporting 1.5 million people monthly and community kitchens were providing food for about 500,000 people daily. UNRWA, citing OCHA, reported that 1,109 Palestinians, including at least 243 children, had been killed in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, between 7 October 2023 and 29 June 2026. More recent OCHA reporting documented 18 Palestinians killed in settler-attack incidents in 2026 as of 20 July, including killings attributed to settlers, Israeli forces and cases where attribution was disputed; it also recorded about 880 Palestinians injured in settler attacks during 2026. In northern West Bank violence reported on 24 July, four Palestinians and two Israelis were killed near the village of Tal/Tell, according to the Associated Press report carried by PBS NewsHour. OHCHR’s Human Rights Monitoring Mission recorded at least 293 civilians killed and 1,990 injured in Ukraine in June 2026, the highest combined monthly civilian-casualty total since April 2022. It said the vast majority of June casualties occurred in territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine, and that long-range weapons and short-range drones were major drivers of harm. For the 19 July attacks, OHCHR reported one civilian killed and 20 injured in Kyiv, three killed and 41 injured in Zaporizhzhia, and four killed and 20 injured at a postal terminal near Kharkiv. It also reported ten people killed and seven injured when a merchant vessel departing near Odesa was struck. Russia’s official framing of Ukrainian drone strikes differs from Ukraine’s account. RT reported regional authorities’ statement that three people were injured after a drone strike on a Wildberries logistics centre near St Petersburg on 24 July, and repeated Moscow’s position that the facilities are civilian infrastructure. In North Kordofan, the Protection Cluster reported that three drones struck locations in Al Rahad on 20 July, affecting a health centre and an area near the main market. UNICEF subsequently reported at least two children killed and six injured; local sources cited by the alert reported four adults killed and more than 20 people injured, while the final overall casualty count remained under verification. El Obeid’s civilian protection emergency is compounded by displacement, disease and gender-based violence. UN News reported that more than 500,000 people, including 83,000 internally displaced people, live in the city; it also cited 1,330 cholera cases reported nationally in early July and an estimated 12.7 million women and girls requiring gender-based-violence services nationwide. Myanmar continues to experience overlapping conflict, displacement, disaster and economic hardship. The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator ad interim described communities repeatedly uprooted by conflict and the 2025 earthquake, while war-linked fuel shortages were raising the cost and difficulty of delivering aid, maintaining health services, operating transport and keeping markets functioning. In a 24 July opinion article, contributors published by Mizzima cited 16.2 million people needing urgent humanitarian assistance, 3.8 million internally displaced people and 5.3 million forcibly displaced people across Myanmar and its borders.
